Fall Events

A Big thank you to Dr. Kim Hammond

& The  Falls Road Animal Hospital

for holding a rabies clinic in September!

And a big thank you to everyone who

brought in an animal.  This is a positive step

for making our community a healthier place

and for thinking about caring for animals.

We are partnering with Meadowbrook Aquatic Center

during the month of November to collect new and used books

for Charles Carroll Barrister Elementary School in Pigtown.  We are excited to be putting many more books in their library. These are great students who love stories and are wonderful listeners during storytime.  If you have books you'd like to donate, please take them to Meadowbrook in Mt. Washington or drop them by the Peace Study Center at 5828 York Road.

Southern Poverty Law Center and Teaching Tolerance announces:

A new film: Bullied,  a 38 minute documentary about a young teen who sued his school after years of bullying and WON!  Free copy available for schools at www.teachingtolerance.org

 Our Mission

Our mission is to build a more peaceful world, one book at a time. By sharing quality literature with children, we will inspire them to resolve differences without violence and learn to appreciate diversity through educational experiences. By teaching adult caregivers to build the concepts of peace and social justice into their curriculum, we will empower them to create a more harmonious classroom.
